As of today the number of views and downloads of your publications in DORA are available for you. Just click on the detailed page of your publication and look at the numbers on the right side under “Statistics”. For example, the article below has been viewed 837 times and the full text has been downloaded 797 times.
For 2020, we had a total of more than 700,000 downloads and at least 10,000 publications with more than 10 downloads each! Have a look at our About page to see some more DORA Statistics.
Having the possibility to upload your accepted version into DORA and making it open access following the green-open-access way, results to increased accessibility to your full text and therefore higher download rates compared to a closed-access article.
