We are delighted to share the latest developments in our product portfolio for 2025. Based on comprehensive data analysis and evaluation of research needs, we have adjusted our subscriptions to ensure optimal access to essential resources and publishing opportunities for researchers at the 4RIs. Negotiations with Wiley continue at a national level.
National negotiations with Wiley for 2025 and beyond are still ongoing. Corresponding authors from the 4RI are currently not able to publish Open Access via an agreement. Lib4RI is committed to not paying for hybrid APCs outside of an agreement as it has a negative impact on our negotiations. We further recommend against researchers paying themselves for the same reasons and go for green Open Access instead. We would like to make you aware there is a possibility that Wiley cuts access to its journal content during these negotiations. swissuniversities has released How to get an article if this occurs.
We support swissuniversities' commitment to negotiate with Wiley - even if it means temporarily not being able to offer an Open Access publishing option. We understand this could cause difficulties or delays for researchers planning to publish in Wiley journals, and hope that negotiations are resolved soon and in a beneficial manner. Beyond Wiley, we are very happy to inform you that corresponding authors from Eawag, Empa, PSI and WSL have a new opportunity to publish their research Open Access with ASME. We are pleased to inform you that after a successful trial, we negotiated a licence for Scite AI for 2025. For more details on the product, please see our previous newspost.
