Lib4RI Sponsors Open Source

As of June 2018 Lib4RI is a member of the Islandora Foundation. This foundation is a non-profit organisation serving the Islandora Community, which incorporates developers, users, implementers and service companies of the Islandora open-source software.

This open-source software framework is a base for the DORA institutional bibliography. It is built on Drupal, Fedora and Solr, and operates under a GNU licence.

The Islandora Foundation maintains the primary codebase, official documentation, community lists and helps in sharing the knowledge by organising workshops and providing access to educational material.

Lib4RI benefits greatly from the available codebase and the cooperation with other developers, e.g. on Islandora GitHub websites, and thus is happy to support this foundation.
